Hi Ross,
If you grant your child access to multiple PCs, any fourth dimension limits y'all fix for them do not accumulate from one PC to another. As an example, if you ready your child's account for a time limit of two hours, they can utilize the 1 st PC for two hours, and and then sign into the ii nd PC and use information technology for an additional two hours. Please accept this into business relationship when you lot are setting time limits.

Hullo Ruth,
Cheers for the answer only I'm agape you lot have missed the point.
This is happening on a unmarried PC, so has zilch to practise with multiple computers. I have reworded the original description to effort and make this clearer.
I propose you try reproducing the trouble every bit originally described to see if this is a general effect or something specific to me. It might be useful to send me some instructions on how to enable logging of the family unit prophylactic screen time functionality, so you can diagnose the problem.

Well I accept the same problem as yourself. My son has managed to circumvent the screen fourth dimension limits (unmarried PC), in exactly the same way your son has managed to exercise it. Fifty-fifty later resetting his business relationship and re-veryfing information technology, he still manages to bypass it. I had hoped Microsoft would have included a solution in the anniversary update, but no, he can still do information technology.

Today he discovered that when he gets the "15 minutes to get, asking more time" dialogue box, if he simply turns off his PC at this point (I mean unplugs information technology from the mains without shutting down properly), then when the PC starts up again and he logs in, it seems to forget how much fourth dimension he'due south used and so far today, e.g. information technology's as if the time limits are reset so he gets another 2 hrs.
And then, simply doing a hard power off of his PC (equivalent of a ability cut) at the relevant time allows him to totally bypass the daily screen fourth dimension limit.
Smashing!! Now I know another way to bypass screen time limit. Thanks a lot!!! :D

windows 10 family unit rubber is ****.
My son found a mode to bypass EVERYTHING and able to TURN OFF EVERY Single setting in 10 min... and he does not even have any of the countersign.
This windows 10 Family Safety is a joke. completely useless.... whoever led the family unit safety team project manager and the team should be fired..

SO TRUE!!! Yes I know that. I also found some other style to bypass this but takes a long time and skill. Family safety is rubbish. Shouldn't have told my dad how to create a microsoft account for me. Didn't encounter that coming. He blocked games, I hated that, I'thousand not going to turn into a total nerd and have a lamentable life but that time i knew his account password and made life better but he left the games unblocked and put the screen time back once more. He inverse his password unfortunately and now I know a way to featherbed this. Family rubber probably won't be able to terminate both methods GREAT!!! But I'm sick and tired of family safe. Wish i didn't have this screen fourth dimension limit like your kids and i'm the only kid in my class to have this rubbish thing. Microsoft should remove it then if it'south useless. Even BETTER!!!if they did...merely they won't. If i get my own computer, my dad has to remove screen time limit from my account but depends on the estimator Windows or Mac. Screen time limits simply made me hate windows and now i would be going for mac when i get my own pc. Screen time limits are unfair for anybody who has it and double unfair if you're the only person in class who has it AKA me. YES you probably worked out something hither nigh me.

VERY frustrating to see this as the Just response from Microsoft. Not anybody, however, has the ability to limit their kid's estimator access to one automobile or, ultimately, none. I am a parent with such ability and will begin to transition, once again, to alternatives. I will spare this forum result participants my long list of grievances. I had opted to go total on with Win10 later on its release. Wow, fool me twice. . . for shame. Shame on me. Who the hell is supervising Ruth? Has no one trained this representative how to answer to customers?

Completely agree. That the brightest minds at Microsoft, the earth's largest and most storied software company, came up with this useless drivel is a laughable joke....
My son, who is 12, figured out that circumventing his difficult 8pm screen cut-off fourth dimension is every bit piece of cake equally simply setting the PC'due south clock back two hours...
